Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays!

I've been a little MIA here lately what with helping my grandmother do all her Christmas shopping, and getting all my last minute stuff done (and wrapped!) and get those last minute *cough* *Rite Aid* *cough* deals squeezed in!

Wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We are supposed to see a white Christmas here in middle Tennessee for the first time since 1969, so we shall see!

Next week should be a good week at Rite Aid and CVS, so try to get in there for your deals, if you can!

Magazine deals at Amazon!

Shopping for the hard-to-buy-for. Might I recommend a magazine subscription?

National Geographic at $1.25 issue!!! I am considering this for my grandfather. He is SO hard to buy for!!

Shopping for a child who loves sports? Sports Illustrated Kids- super deal!

There are several great deals on 1-year auto renewal subscriptions. So if you are good at remembering to cancel subscriptions, you can get a great deal on several mags!! Even the 1-years without auto renewal are still a great price. :)

THIS is my favorite magazine of all time. I miss my subscription. Maybe I will ask for this for myself for Christmas. ;)

Amazon deals

So I've been helping my grandmother do her Christmas shopping this year, and most of it online...at Amazon. I've run across some hot deals (IMO!) that I wanted to share! Here they are...

I bought this for us for our new Blu-Ray (free, courtesy of Walgreens ;) ) which we do not have any movies for! LOL!! I never did get a good deal on Toy Story three and of course my daughter has been asking for it. Love 50% off!

Here's one I am definitely getting! Ths is a lightning deal, so get it while you can!
iIt is pathetic that My husband and I still don't have a will. And we have children, so we NEED one. This is a great deal!!

Considering this for the person who has everything on my list (I can't name names... they read my blog sometimes ;) )

This is a truly awesome deal for the handy man/woman in your life. It's a little beyond my budget, but if you need a good deal, there are quite a few great hardware deals at Amazon right now...like this:

Thermal Laminator nearly 80% off!!!

For any of you guys out there that are super crafty, or my fellow homeschooling Mamas, You might consider this deal!! This Laminator gets great reviews and for under $17?!?! That is an insane crazy deal.

I think I'm going to go order one right now!

Walgreens Week of 10/31

Wow! Has it really been over two weeks since my last post?

Gosh, sorry! Things have been a little nuts.

So there are a few items at wags this week that might be worth a trip in. I need the cough syrup (too bad I don't have the q's), and the MM on the Sinex is always good ;)

So here's an idea, for those like me starting without any rr's, and without the Zarbee's q...

Trans 1
Buy
2 Sinex 20ct 2/$10
=$10

Use
2 $4/1 Sinex mq 10.10.10 P&G

=$2 oop

Earn $5 RR

Trans 2
Buy
1 Zarbees Cough $5.99
1 filler $.34
=$6.33 +tax

Use
$5 rr from trans 1

=$1.xx +tax

Earn $6 RR

**OR**
If you have the Zarbee's coupon, maybe you could do this:

Trans 2
Buy
1 Zarbee's $5.99
2 Sinex 2/$10 (ROLLING!)
1 filler $.34
=$16.33

Use
$3/1 Zarbees
2x $4/1 Sinex
$5 rr from Trans 1
= -$16

=$.34

earn $6 rr (Zarbees), $5 rr (Sinex... normally this wouldn't work, but it's reported to be rolling)

For those lucky enough to have multiple zarbees q's, rinse and repeat using the Sinex rr, saving the zarbees rr's. (lucky dogs!)

:D

There are also multiple P&G deals. I haven't figured out the BEST way to do one yet, but I'm still looking. I'll get back to you when I find a good one. I suspect it will be using those $5/Olay wyb Secret q's. Awesome q's.

A few Publix observations

I noticed a few days ago when I was browsing (sans kiddos) that Publix does, in fact, carry Coconut oil. I ended up buying it at Whole Foods when I needed it, but of course, Publix has it cheaper. It's near the oils in one of their "all natural" insets. darnit.

The Mahatma rice packets are on sale for $.69. There was a $.50/1 coupon a while back making these free. The coupon does not specify type or size, so it may be used on this style.

If you haven't noticed already, Kraft Hidden Valley Ranch will be FREEEEE (plus a little extra) this week with the $2/1 printable HERE

I'll add some other items from my Publix list for the week later on. :)

Dead Deal!

I know, I know, I'm driving you guys bananas with the Rite Aid deals lately, but it's the only store I've gotten really excited about lately! I even cashed out almost all my CVS ecb's and I only have $6 rr's right now. In comparison, I have over $100 in +ups!

Deal died this afternoon. :(

There's a huge Candy deal going on right now at Rite Aid! Many of the smaller bags of candy, not the Halloween ones, but the ones on the regular candy aisle (not the teeny ones on the pegs), they are advertised as 2/$5, get $1 +up back when you buy 2. Well, apparently the non-chocalte candies are also producing a $2 +up for EVERY bag purchased.

So, without any coupons at all, you do this:

Buy
2 bags candy 2/$5
=$5 oop

earn $1 +up wyb 2 bags, as advertised
earn (2) $2 +ups (unadvertised)
=Free +tax!

There is a $.50/$5 candy purchase wellness coupon available when you log into your wellness account, so that covers your tax.

Of course if you buy $25, you can use a $5/$25 coupon.

AND, many of the candy is regularly priced low enough that if you have a 20% wellness discount (like I do), they're actually cheaper than $2.50!

So here's what I did

I will try to post more of them tomorrow if I get a chance, but here's some I found. There are cuopons for all of these, but I don't have time to post them now, hit up a board with a database, and you should be able to track them down!

Food Lion

It's time for a Food Lion trip!

FL has a huge bogo sale going on, and like Kroger and Publix, bogo items actually ring up at half price, so you don't have to buy two to get the deal.

Many Kraft items are included, so if you still have the $5/5 Kraft printable (or haven't printed it yet, from HERE)

You can get some great prices on Kraft!

Here are some items I am picking up:

Kraft shredded/blocks $2.79 bogo
Kraft singles $2.39 bogo
Kraft Philly Cream Cheese $1.89 bogo

The ad states limit 2 on the free items, so mix n match if your cashier gives you a hard time or break up the the transactions

4 Kraft shreds $2.79 bogo
2 Cream Cheese $1.89 bog0

UPDATE! Rite Aid Olay deal next week

WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This deal is unlimited! And! It's accumulating... so whatever you have leftover at the end will accumulate - I purchased five of these deals, with $3xx leftover after each transaction. I then purchased four olay cleansers, using the $2/1 coupons from this past weekend's P&G, with some fillers and received another $10 up!
(does that make sense?)

Some people have reported not getting their $10 up when they used the $10 up to pay (so fair warning).

Here's a great deal on Olay at Rite Aid next week!

Olay products are Bogo50% off, so I'm not totally sure how the register will handle buying three, with different values, but hopefully, it will ring up the items like this...

Buy

Olay Moisturizer $8.49
Olay Moisturizer $4.24 (50% off $8.49)
Olay Eye Roller $21.99 {If you have a discount on your wellness card, this item will get the discount...hopefully!}
=$34.72 {with no discount}

Use
$5/25 RAq
$1/1 Olay mq 9.12.10 SS x2
Free Olay Eye Roller wyb Olay moisturizer mq 9.12.10 SS {Max value $19.99}
$1/10 Skin Care Wellness RAq HERE
$2/1 Olay RAq from Flu booklet
= - $29.99

=$4.73 oop +tax

Earn $10 +up wyb $30 Olay products
Then! There's a new rebate coming in the paper this weekend. (No details yet, but hopefully, it will go right along with this deal! Will update when I have the info.)

If you have a discount, it will be even less, since you will get the full value off for the eye roller.

The register also could handle the purchase like this (giving you the eye roller as one of the bogo items, and the moisturizer getting the wellness discount)

Olay Eye roller $21.99
Olay Moisturizer $4.24
Olay Moisturizer $8.49 (with your wellness discount coming off this item)

We'll have to wait and see- but it's a small difference, in the end. I will let you guys know when I try it on Sunday to see how it rings up.

Free water and cheap Laundry detergent at Food Lion

This week at Food Lion, you can get Free Aquapods (those cutesy little bottles kids love).

These are on sale for $1 each, and when you buy three, you get a $3 catalina! So, pay $3 +tax and get a $3 oyno. Turn around, buy three more, pay with your catalina, pay tax oop ($.24 here in TN) and get another $3 cat.

Repeat.

Then Wisk detergent is on sale for $3.99. There's a $3/1 coupon from 8.29 RP

Super Diaper deal at Rite Aid

If you have a baby, or know someone who does and needs disposable diapers, here's a deal for you at Rite Aid this week!

Pampers Big box diapers (regularly priced @) $19.99
Earn $5 +up wyb ONE.
Then, If you buy $25 participating J&J products; earn $10 +up, Pampers are included.

Since this is the regular price, your wellness discount will apply.
10% discount = $17.99/box (if you have received a one time 10% shopping pass, now would be a great time to use it!)
20% discount = $15.99/box

So do this:

Buy
2 Pampers Big Box Diapers $19.99/ea (if you have a wellness discount, it will apply)
=$39.98

Use
$5/25
2x $1/1 Pampers 8.29 P&G (or check your stash, there are $2/1 home mailers and I had $1.50/1 q's from inside boxes I bought previously)

=$32.98
(use any ups you have to reduce oop)

Earn TWO $5 +ups for buying Pampers (there doesn't seem to be a limit!) and ONE $10 +up for buying J&J products

=$12.98 after ups for two boxes!

I have a 20% discount on my card, so my transaction looked like this:
2 Pampers $15.99/ea
=$31.98

Used
$5/25
2x $1.50/1 mq

=$23.98
I used $23 in +ups from previous purchases and then received $20 back! So basically, two BOXES of diapers cost $4 +tax.

There's nothing like rolling +ups on something you need!

Rite Aid Super Monyeymaker

If you were lucky enought to find the $4/1 Biotrue tearpad coupons at Wal-Mart (check the vision center- I actually picked up more of them last week - no one seems to know about these here in Clarksville ;) and they were in a little basket on top of a shelf, on top of the case of lens solution, under some trash and a pair of glasses. lol. yes, I was looking HARD for them. lol)

These have an up+ reward printing at Rite Aid this week and since they are NOT on sale, any discount you get with your wellness card comes off the Biotrue.

Regularly priced at $4.99, with 10% off, these would be $4.49, with 20% off, makes them $3.99. Then you get a $4 +up for each one you buy. AND these are not limited! So you can buy as many as you want on one card!!

Here's what I did (I have a card with 20% off all non-sale items)
5x Biotrue $4.99 - 20% = $3.99/ea
1 Crest $2.99
Case of water $2.99 - 20% = $2.39
=$25.33

Used
$5/25
$.50/1 Crest mq (there's also $.75 and $1/1 mq's, regional)
-5x $4/1 Biotrue coupon
=-$25.50

=$1.xx oop (including tax)

Earned 5x $4 +up (Biotrue) and $2 +up (Crest)

A slight break from our regularly scheduled program

I am taking a small break from couponing to share a blog with you guys.

A very close friend of mine recently started a blog that I want to spread the word about.

She has three children who are recovered autistic. Yes, you read that right, recovered. Her children have had issues with autism, sensory disorders, and many severe food allergies. She has spent many years learning how to get and keep her children healthy and it is a daily battle, but one that is totally worth it. She has decided to start blogging to share her knowledge (and she's a genius when it comes to this topic- although she would probably argue with me about that as she is very modest :) ).

HERE is the link to her blog, Autism Recovered.

Please pass this along to anyone you think it might help.

Kroger Mega finals from last week

Well I FINALLY found the Crayons in stock, the night before the Cat deal ended and prayed the cat would print (It didn't the first, and only other, time I bought them). I diid a sample transaction, rolling the $4 GM cat, and yay! It printed! So I rolled it with two more sets, then hit the other Kroger in town yesterday to try to get more. I bought them out of crayons. The crayons weren't marked as a sale, the catalina wasn't listed, so I figured no one else would be looking for them. :) Plus it was the very last day you could do the deal.

Here's my grand total in 12 transactions on both days, started with a $4 GMcat:
8 Pillsbury Frozen Biscuits
-$.50/1 mq
132 Crayola Crayons

4 Boulder Canyon Chips

Walgreens

I hit Wags early today b/c I didn't know how many Biotrue were in stock and I needed them to roll my $10rrs. They only had three, so I'm glad I went early!

Proglide was a problem. The deal on those ends today, but apparently, corporate pulled it early, so not only were they ringing up full price ($12.99 instead of $9.89) they also were not producing the rr. The cashier price modified them for me, and then the mgr did a "return" of $15 and I got that back on a gift card, to make up for the $rr's not printing. (I bought three razors, so should have gotten 3 $5rr's).

Here was my transaction
Bought
1 Gillette Proglide $9.89 (price modified)
1 Dial Nutriskin $3.99
1 Biotrue $4.99
2 Penway folders $.09/ea

Used
$4/1 Proglide
$4/1 Biotrue (found at WalMart)
$1/1 Dial ip
$10rr from Alive vitamins
=$.05 +tax

Earned
$3rr (dial), $4rr (Biotrue), shuold have gotten a $5rr for Proglide, but instead received $5 on a gift card

Then I did this at the second store:
Bought
1 Biotrue $4.99
1 folder $.09

Used
$4/1 Biotrue
$1rr from Crayons last week

=$.08+tax

Earned $4rr

Harris Teeter deals

Wow. I am actually looking at deals at HT! That never happens. ;)

There's a current catalina promotion going for Kelloggs/Keebler/Morningstar/Sunshine (I think) products. Get a $10oyno wyb 10 items. Many of these are 50% off this week- so I am actually considering hitting up HT tomorrow to do a deal. Next week, if Super-Doubles happens, we might see even better deals, but the products probably won't be on sale, so it might come out the same in the end- remains to be seen. I would recommend getting a raincheck for poptarts if you go in this week and they're out- b/c that would make them free++ with SD!

Here's some prices of some of the items included (pretty sure all these are included) :
Eggo Waffles $2.00
-$1/2 mq 7.25.10 RP

Morningstar Farms $3.29
-$1/1 or $1/2 mq ip, peelie, inside package

Special K Cereal $1.74
$1/2 7.25.10 RP

Nutri-Grain Bars $1.77
$.75/1 mq 7.11.10 RP

Pop-Tarts $1.09
$1/2 blinkie, 6.13.10 RP, 7.11.10 RP

Frosted Mini-Wheats $1.99
$1/2 7.11.10 RP

Froot Loops/Apple Jacks $1.49
-$.70/1 blinkie

Corn Flakes $1.57-$1.64
$.75/1 Cinnamon Corn Flakes 8.8.10 SS

Crispix $1.89

Frosted Flakes $1.69
$1/3 HERE

Raisin Bran $1.92-$1.99
$1/2 HERE

Rice Krispies $1.59

So, here's a scenario idea:

Need info about Harris Teeter

Could some regular Nashville-area Harris Teeter shoppers help me out?

I know the rules for triples/Super-duobles, but are the regular everyday rules the same? Max of twenty coupons doubled, no more than three like? (I know no more than two ip's...)

The Nashville area stores are really coupon unfriendly, so if you regularly shop at one...and know the answer... I'd love your input!

Thanks!

Free dog food at Target

If your dog liked the free Purina One from Walgreens, head over to Target for some more!

Target is now carrying (well, some stores, not all) the small bags of Purina One smartblend. These are priced at a mere $1.00! There is a Target printable for $1/1 Purina One Smartblend dog food (any size!).

Now this will beep, probably because it is intended for the big bags, but the coupon says any, so if you have a cashier that can read, you should be ok.

A few walgreens notes

There aren't many deals at Waglreens this week but there's one moneymaker, if your store will allow it.

Visine $3.99 (regular price)
-$2/1 mq (found in allergy booklets at Rite Aid)
-$2/1 wagsq in-ad
-$2/1 Wagsq in monthly booklet
= -$2.01

If you don't have the $2/1, there's a $1/1 Visine q in the 6.13.10 RP. A note, today, I could only get one per transaction. When I tried to get 2, the wags q's did not multiply.

There is a similar deal on Listerine, but I did not do that deal as I didn't have any mq's with me.
Listerine regular prices, $5.49 and $5.79.
If you have any $2/1 Listerine q's, you'll get a little overage with the two $2/1 Wags' q's.

There is supposed to be a 15% Friends/Family discount coupon available from tomorrow through Wednesday on Facebook, so that will lower the oop a little for your purchases.
