What to do with Free Lunchables?

Alright, I'll admit it, we don't actually EAT Lunchables in my house. So I had $1/1 coupons for a free product I wouldn't feed to my kids. But I can't resist free!! So I concoted this:

Taco salad
1 Nacho Lunchables (stockpile item from this week)
2 cups Fresh Express Lettuce (stockpile item from this week)
1/2 chopped Avocado (stockpile item from this week)
1/4 cup Black Beans
1/4 cup shredded Cheese (stockpile item)

Put 2 cups lettuce mix on plate, top with black beans, chopped avocado, shredded cheese and drizzle on salsa from lunchable, cheese from lunchable (might need to be warmed up a little) and top with teensy cute little chips from Lunchable.

You can always top with dressing of your choice as well.

Yeah, you could make this with regular chips, Pace salsa and omit the nacho cheese, but why pay for those things when the Lunchables are FREEEEEEEEEE :)

Organic coupons galore!

Earth Fare has a new page of organic coupons available HERE and if you had to get a raincheck for the Cascadian Farms last week at Publix, like I did, you're in luck as there is a $1/1 printable for the fruit and the granola bars. I have a raincheck for the bars, but not the fruit, wish I did! :)

Many of these q's are manufacturer coupons, and they're unlimited prints! If you want them, print them now, I suspect they will be pulled quickly.

Free Virgin Coconut Oil!

DEAD DEAL!!!

If you're a first time buyer, head over HERE to Tropical Traditions (be patient, their server is currently being taxed to the limit!) to get a FREE pint of Coconut Oil! I am SUPER excited about this deal!

Better go quick though, I have a feeling this offer will be gone soon!

Swagbucks= Free money

If you haven't signed up for SWAGBUCKS yet you're missing out on free money! They recently redesigned the website allowing for more bucks to be earned quicker.

There are lots of ways to earn, but the way I earn the fastest is by using the downloadable toolbar.

And there are loads of new prizes you can redeem for! My favorite? A giftcard for Earth Angels Diaper Co. You can buy cloth diapers, baby wraps, or anything else Earth Angels sells using the giftcards from Swagbucks. And really what's better than free cloth diapers or baby products?? They sell Moby Wraps (which my babies loved) and other carriers... and the price is nice- a $5 gift card is only 210 Swagbucks (A $5 amazon gc is 450 swagbucks, as a comparison).

So go ahead, give in. :) Sign up HERE and start earning some free money. Hey, you're searching anyway, why not get paid?

How to be a cheap date

Since having children, my husband and I don't get out much. I often reminisce about my pre-child days, when I could just run out to pick up food, or go see a movie whenever I wanted without having to worry about the kids.
I LOVE my kids! But it's a whole different world.

So we haven't been to a movie in ages and for Christmas, we received two free movie tickets, so we figured we would take advantage of those and go see Clash of the Titans.

If we had not had the free tickets, I would have used my code from Fandango and Tropicana from last week's big deal to get bogo tickets, saving $7.

As it was, we saved $7/ea on the movie tickets by using the free ones given to us.

Then I used the coupon from Facebook for a FREE popcorn at Regal theatres. I printed two, one for me and one for my husband. We went to separate lines, since it was "one per customer" and each got a free popcorn.

Then, I entered my codes from my bogo Kelloggs cereal I bought at Publix last week HERE to earn prizes. When you enter 3 codes, you get $5 in concession cash. So I then went back and used my $5 concession cash to get two small drinks. They were $4.50/ea, so $4 after my $5 discount.

Grand total for two movie tickets, two small popcorns and two small drinks: $4.00
Total saved: $29.50

Great blinkie found!

I found a super blinkie at Food Lion last week- it's a $.50/1 any Ronzoni pasta coupon. !!! (It does say "not subject to doubling" but it begins with a 5, so unless your cashier/store suppresses the double, it will automatically double)

This should get you free pasta at Kroger this week and overage at Publix in the future on a Ronzoni bogo sale. :)

Big Walgreens Moneymaker next week

To get prepared go HERE and register for the Rewards program at Nature's Bounty. (Nature's Bounty is in the process of changing their program, so this will be one of the last months you can do this version of their rewards program.

Then go HERE to read about codes to enter to earn coupons. Once you enter 500pts worth of codes, you can print a $5 coupon. Once you enter 300pts, you can get a $3 coupon, 200pts will earn you a $2 coupon.
These are Bricks coupons with a limit of 6 each. Once you print one, hit your back button to print another, up to 6 of each! You will not be able to print more than 6 even if you earn enough codes until they are reset, so don't waste your points. You can, however, go to another computer and print coupons from the same account.

Here's the deal:
Nature's Bounty Vitamin D 1000 iu high potency 120 ct tablets are on sale for $5, and you earn a $5 rr wyb 1.
So it's free after rr- any coupon you use make it a mm. With the $5 coupon, this is a $5 mm!! Use this on things you need- diapers, milk, toilet paper...name it!

I am going to be asking my SM to order me a bunch of bottles tomorrow so I know they're there!

I am totally psyched to earn a bunch of rr's to pay for things we need for our vacation! Sunscreen, swim diapers, flip flops, bottled water, snacks, etc. :) YAY!

Check your Target stores for clearanced candy!

It might already be too late, but run into Target and check the clearanced Easter items. I found bags of the Hershey Kisses special flavors in with the 90% off clearance items. I found one bag of Coconut and a whole ton of bags of orange creme (which, taste exactly like a creamsicle).
These rang up $.29/ea and I was able to use the $1/3 coupon from this week's inserts!

THEN

I will submit HERE for free movie tickets. You submit four UPC codes and get one free ticket.

Free candy and free movie tickets! It can't get better than that.

Allergies got you down?

If you're an allergy sufferer like me, the spring is beautiful, but hard to get through. I know my days are one sneeze at a time. Itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, blowing my nose. It's lots of fun. I have been keeping Visine, Benadryl, Zyrtec and tissues in my car. Just in case.

So luckily for us, the drugstores are taking care of us to keep the cost of those allergy meds down!

Benadryl at Wags
monthly deal: Buy two Benadryl, Sudafed, and ear $5 rr.
Benadryl is regularly priced $4.69 at my store, and several other of the varieties are $4.99 on sale this week.
The new $5/2 coupon in today's paper would be good on this, BUT! The coupon is coded the same as the RR deal, so if you use the coupon and buy the products, you won't get the RR. The register thinks you've used a RR to get the same deal, and we all know you can't do that. There is a way around this. 1) You can ask "pretty please" if the cashier can manually enter $5 vendor coupon instead of scanning the coupon. (if your store knows you, or is aware of the problem with his coupon, they may be fine with this. I did this today and it worked fine.) or 2) You can buy them without the coupon, then say oh, OOPS! I forgot to give you my coupon! And they will reimburse you the $5.

So, if you can get this deal, Free (or MM) Benadryl! Woohoo!!

Zyrtec deals at Rite Aid

Here is a $5/1 Cetirizine Rite Aid coupon HERE that you can print multiples of.
The week of 4.25.10 The Cetirizine is bogo, so you could buy two for the price of one and use two of the $5/1 RA coupons.

Why I don't run out and use the good q's

So as a beginning couponer, you wonder. When do I use a coupon? I have this great coupon, so should I use it now?

Over time, here's what I've started doing: If a super coupon comes out, I print it (if it's a printable, which many of the REALLY good ones are) and hang onto it. If it's an item I really REALLY need then I'll go ahead and use it, but I will try to hold onto it and wait for a good sale to pair it with. Most coupons I will hold until right before expiration and then use it the day or so before it expires.

Think of it this way, you can always use a coupon on a regular priced item, so hang onto that sucker and if you don't get a sale, then you can use it before it expires on the regular priced item.

A good example: I received some of the Vocalpoint mailer q's for Kashi Heart to Heart cereal. In the pack was a "free" box coupon and some $1.50/1 coupons. I could have run right out and used my free box coupon, but I chose to wait. A couple of weeks later I found the new Whole Foods booklets which have a $1/1 Kashi product coupon and several of the Publix stores here accept Whole Foods as a competitor. Then, the Kashi cereals went on sale 2/$5. So stacking the Whole Foods coupon with the $1.50/1 coupons gave me free cereal. And when I stacked the Whole Foods coupon with the "free" box coupon, I got a dollar overage.

And here's another example:
A month or so ago, some printables were out on cookingwithkraft.com for the Oscar Meyer Deli Creations sandwiches. There was a BOGO Publix coupon and a $.75/1 Publix coupon printable. I could have gone out and used those for a good deal, buy two and use the $.75/1 and the bogo. But I thought I would wait.
Then a coupon came out to save $1 on Publix brand water wyb a deli creations sandwich. Alright, now we're getting there!

But today, there's a coupon HERE for $1/1 Deli Creations sandwich manufacturer coupon. Aha! Now, the last time I was in, I price checked and these were 2/$5. If these are the same price, I can buy two and use one Publix bogo coupon, one $.75/1 Publix coupon and two $1/1 manufacturer's coupons as well as save $1 on Publix brand water.

Now I've gotten water, and two sandwiches for a moneymaker of $.25.

That's what I call a good deal.

Kroger haul today

I finally made it to Kroger to use all my Betty Crocker potato printables (from four computers and three websites - coupons.com, smartsource.com, BettyCrocker.com)

I didn't want a bunch of small fillers, and my grandmother had given me some money to pick her up some tomatoes, so I just spent more oop instead of rolling the cats. Now I have the cats leftover to use on the digital coupon deal this week! (more on that later)

21 Betty Crocker potato pouches
1.12 lb tomatoes on the vine
Total tax: $1.17
Total oop: $6.12

With $18 in cats leftover!

Free Coffeemate at Publix for everyone!

If you live in a state with Publix stores that offer double coupons, your bogo items ring up half price so the Nestle Coffeemate that is bogo at $1.99 will ring up $1 and $.99. Use the $.50/1 coupon from 2.7.10 RP, doubled, for free Coffemate.

There is also a B2G1 Coffeemate coupon HERE.
For those in areas where Publix bogo items ring up half price, you'd get one "free" at $1.00. Those folks in areas with a true bogo, your "free" item will be worth "$1.99".

There is also a way to get the Coffeemate free without doubles- Since the creamer is bogo- your coffeemate rings up like this:

Coffeemate $1.99
Coffeemate $0
Coffeemate $1.99
Coffeemate $0
etc...

So if you buy 6, you get three free with the store sale, leaving $5.98 oop. Publix policy is that you may use one coupon on each item in a bogo sale. So use 2 B2G1 coupon for $3.98, then use four $.50/1 coupons = $2.00
= 6 Free.

Looks like this:
Coffeemate $1.99 -$.50/1
Coffeemate $0 -$.50/1
Coffeemate $1.99 -B2G1 = $1.99
Coffeemate $0 -$.50/1
Coffeemate $1.99 -$.50/1
Coffeemate $0 -B2G1 = $1.99
=$5.98 - $5.98
=0 oop

**There is a crazy catalina deal going on right now at Food Lion involving Taco bell dinner kits but there's no rhyme or reason to how it's printing. Basically, when you spend $8 or more in Taco Bell kits, you are supposed to get a $3 oyno cat. The total is based off your pre-MVP price, so if you scan your items, then your card, it should print a catalina. Some of the kits are regularly $4.49, on sale for 3/$5. So you buy two for a post MVP price of $3.34 and you should get a $3 oyno cat. You can roll this deal. Some people are reporting that you have to buy the same kind at the same time. I haven't had luck with this deal, I bought two of the same kind and got a $2 oyno cat, then I did the exact same deal and didn't get a cat at all. So who knows. But if you want to try it, and you're at Food Lion anyway... there you go.
