Cottonelle ULTRA (in the purple package) is part of a national catalina deal, printing at all stores that use catalina machines (Walgreens, Target, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Kroger...etc) Buy 2 and get a $3 catalina good on your next purchase.

walgreens has the 12 ct package regularly priced at $5. In the monthly book, there is a $1 off coupon. When scanned, these coupon multiply themselves and subtract based on the quantity purchased.

Buy 2 Cottonelle Ultra @ $5/each
-walgreens $1/1 coupon (multiplies times 2)
=$8.00

Get back $3 catalina, good on your next purchase. (essentially making these $2.50 each)

There are also manufacturer coupons, which you can add to this deal, to bring your total down further.
Big Covergirl Moneymaker, cheap Aveeno products, free Toothbrushes and toothpaste, lots more. If you're interested in specifics, post here and I'll add them. I'm behind for the week, so going to start on the deals for next week. Earthy Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04235627001435406029noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819680504351677468.post-76335640735700557592011-09-29T19:54:00.001-05:002011-09-29T19:56:27.951-05:00Why the drugstores?Or, "I like WalMart, why should I shop at the drugstores? I don't use Alli weight loss, Depends, Poise, Polident, or any other random products that I have to buy to get a 'good deal'."

Well, here's the answer: drugstores sell products you do use on a regular basis. Toilet paper, health and beauty items like shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, even food items like cereal, soda, canned fruit, and staples like sugar. With the reward deals offered by drugstores, many times you actually make money in these deals. The offer might be, say, for a "Free after rewards tube of Crest", but if you have a $1 coupon for the product, you actually make a dollar to purchase the item. That dollar can be used toward something you need.

You might think drugstores are more expensive than WalMart, and that is true if you walk in and buy it at non-sale, shelf-pricing. But if you use your coupons on sale items, you can do very well indeed. Then that saved money can go into things you can't buy at drugstores, like produce, meat and so forth.

In addition, you might not use Polident, but someone somewhere does, and they would love a gift of that item. If you don't know anyone personally that is in need, do a little research on the internet and you will quickly come up with dozens of charities that will gladly take donations of this type. Earthy Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04235627001435406029noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819680504351677468.post-63061000664391716652011-09-29T15:26:00.000-05:002011-09-29T19:07:45.675-05:00Walgreens: Getting Started: Week of 9/25-10/1Walgreens looks good this week. Since it's the middle of the week, unless you're in a low-couponed area, you might find some items out of stock, but if not, then you're in luck.

I am going to assume if you're starting out, you don't have a multitude of insert coupons, but if you are interested in the game, you should at least get your hands on two sets of inserts a week. Buy two papers, ask a relative or neighbor to give you their unused coupons, etc. BOGO deals are almost always good with two coupons, so you always want multiples. Some of these scenarios are based on you having at least two sets of inserts.

Here's the deals, and what I recommend:
If you're concerned about your rr expiring before you get back into walgreens, go ahead and use the $5 to buy something you need. Tuf trashbags are a great price this week: $2.99, and they are just as good as Hefty or Glad in my opinion. 4lb bags of Domino sugar is a great price (check the 8.28 RP for a coupon, varying values, depending on region), and something always needed, and I love the Indiana Popcorn at $.99 (after the $1/1 coupon from 9.25 SS)
Or, get paid to buy Fiber One 80 Calorie cereal.

Use the $1/2 General Mills coupon from the 9.25 Smartsource insert along with the $2/1 Publix coupon from the yellow advantage buy flyer (expires tomorrow), to get two boxes for free.

If you don't have the insert coupons, there is a printable available. Here

Then, there is a Fiber One 80 Calorie Cereal printable here that is $1 off 1 ($1/1), which, if you use two, and two of the Publix coupons, will give you $1 overage to apply to the remainder of your purchase. I don't even know if anyone is still reading, but I have a few friends who asked if I could help them get started with some scenarios, so that's what I am going to try to do for a bit. :)

Let me start by saying that I know there are people who don't have time or the inclination to do a bunch of separate transactions. If you want to buy everything in one swoop, that's totally up to you. Your out of pocket will be higher up front, but then you'll have more rewards to roll or use at the end, but the bottom line will be the same. :)

So, without further ado:

Rite Aid:
You must do this by tomorrow! There is an overlapping deal with the weekly and monthly deals, but the monthly ends tomorrow, 9/27 ( I know? It's not the end of the month? Who knows why they do it this way)

Make sure you have a Wellness Card (loyalty card) and that it's scanned before any items are rung up, ensuring you will get your discounts and rewards.

I am going to do this without any coupons but printables, then list the insert coupons at the bottom, which can further reduce your out of pocket (oop).

Buy
1 Crest Pro-Health $2.69
1 Periobalance GUM OR 1 Doctor's Nightguard $24.99
= $27.68

Use $5/1 printable for GUM here or printable for Nightguard here
=$22.68 +tax

Get back Crest $2.69 +up, $20 Nightguard +up, $5 Oral Care +up (the Oral Care up is the one ending tomorrow)

*If you have insert coupons, go back to the week of 8.28 and pull the $1/1 Crest coupon and save an additional dollar.

You could then purchase the Softsoap body wash, if you are in need, as it's either free or $.24 (depending on the coupon you received in your paper)

Buy:
Softosap Body Wash $2.99
Arizona Tea $.50 (for a filler)
=$3.49

Use
$.75/1 mq (from this weeks paper)

$2.69 +up from first transaction
=-$3.44

=$.05 out of pocket +tax

Receive $2 Softsoap +up

Some areas got a $1/1 Softsoap coupon, so if that's the case, buy something for your filler that will cover the extra. Something you need or want, a drink, candy bar, carton of eggs, loaf of bread, etc.

So 2 pizzas and 2 liters for tax only. :)

Can't beat that!Earthy Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04235627001435406029noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819680504351677468.post-10536254376112826582011-03-15T23:35:00.000-05:002011-03-15T23:35:09.571-05:00Super Cheap Baby Wipes at Publix! This deal may end tomorrow, 3/16, or it might have ended today. Or it might end whenever the ad in your area ends. . . someone will have to try it tomorrow to find out.

In case you didn't notice, there's a small deal that was only advertised on a coupon sheet available in stores.

Publix wipes refills 320ct 3 for $5. Yep. 3 for $5. These are normally $7.49 each. Word has it this was meant to be the tubs on sale, but on the flyer, it states the 320 ct, and even has a picture of the 320 count. Publix is honoring the price, but they're not drawing attention to it either!

The coupons on this sheet expire tomorrow, 3/16.

I do not know if that means this unadvertised sale (there are no tags in the store) ends tomorrow, or today, since our ad sale ended today here in TN, but if you're in need of wipes, for anything, not just wiping baby bottoms. . . this is a deal worth checking out.

Just pick one up and have CS price check it for you.

Hope you find it! If so, update me so I can post :)Earthy Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04235627001435406029noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819680504351677468.post-81533762317513031552011-03-13T22:15:00.001-05:002011-03-13T22:27:56.356-05:00Ebates!

Walgreens basics:
A Register Reward (RR) is a coupon earned when you purchase specific items. These are manufacturer coupons and are subject to the "One manufacturer coupon per item" rule. Therefore, you must have a "filler" or an item for the rr to "attach to". Your number of manufacturer coupons cannot outnumber your number of items (Walgreens store coupons do not count).

When you earn a rr, if you buy another of the same item with the rr earned, it will not print another rr.
For example, if you buy Arnicare with the $6 rr earned from the previous Arnicare you bought, you will not get another rr back.

RR's cannot have a value more than items purchased. If you want to buy a $5.99 item with a $6rr, you need something else in the transaction to bring your total over $6. (Another use for fillers)

You WILL receive a rr when you purchase an item using a coupon. No matter what the cashier/SS/SM may tell you.
RR's will not print if the Catalina machine is offline, out of paper, or if they have not been programmed properly at corporate.Earthy Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04235627001435406029noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819680504351677468.post-81206184451542639152011-02-07T20:42:00.000-06:002011-02-07T20:42:54.432-06:00Walgreens, week of Feb 6, 2011Not a bad week to roll some rr's.
Everything that was ever in the Christmas aisle was included with fews exceptions (bath sets, cd's, dvd's and pillow pets, mostly).

My store had little Christmas items left, but I went to the other store today and hit the jackpot! None of the toys were marked as clearance, but I knew they were, and bought two carts of toys (birthdays? check.) for $19.00! Nothing was over $1.99, and much of it was $1.49.

They even still had a train set and a dollhouse ($3.99 each!) and one of those tall dolls (the same height as my daughter, practically! ($2.99)

I was shocked there was so much still there, but I am thrilled to be set on gifts for a while. :)

Go check it out!

If you didn't really shop Christmas items, look for toys, wrapping paper ($.19!), stuffed animals, Gifts like binoculars, fountains, electric shavers and so forth, all 90% off, if you can find them. ;)
Most of the people are fine. They all come in and get their couple of items in each deal and everyone gets some, but there are a few shelf clearers. I saw the deals, saw the post on H2S and knew I better get my kids up and get our butts to RA when they opened the doors if I stood a chance of getting any of the deals.

So I was the first on in the parking lot... followed by another couponer several seconds later. I got to the door, plunked my son in the cart and headed immediately for paper products. I DID warn the Store Manager that he might want to try to order up on these free after up items... so hopefully more will be coming in on the truck Friday. Meanwhile, I was the first one to get there, so I snagged the things I wanted, left plenty for others, and the other woman came around the corner... So it begins.

I am not pleased with the sudden influx of couponing being the "in" thing. TLC and their Extreme Couponing show can kiss my big toe. If they would show the idea of couponing; matching sales with coupons to get items for pennies, or next to nothing, stock up for four to six weeks, until the next sale cycle, that would be one thing, but the people chosen have been told to go crazy, and TLC is calling these couponers "Extreme Shopaholics" in thier little blurb about the show. Makes us look like a bunch of crazies.

So then, as I'm checking out, the SS comes over and vents about a phone call she just received. Some lady called and stated "I was there last week and witnessed lots of EXTREME HOARDING and I wanted to make sure the items I wanted are in stock before I bring my toddler out". Oh brother. I was there too, and I'll tell you what I saw. Ten to Fifteen couponers buying several of each deal apiece, which led to cleared shelves.

Then, I asked the SS what she wanted (thinking toilet paper/ tissues) and she wanted Tide. TIDE!!! pretty sure she had nothing to worry about.

The SS was really aggravated someone was calling her to be judgmental.... so listen ya'll, don't be so quick to judge others. It makes you look really bad. Oh and also - saw the lady before I left, and her son is older than mine, and heaven forbid me bring my son to Rite Aid in the 32 degree sunny weather. He'll survive. You snooze you lose.

At any rate, vent over. Here's the deals. If there aren't any left, get some rainchecks.

Wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We are supposed to see a white Christmas here in middle Tennessee for the first time since 1969, so we shall see!

Next week should be a good week at Rite Aid and CVS, so try to get in there for your deals, if you can!Earthy Mamahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04235627001435406029noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819680504351677468.post-26251694283915563312010-12-20T20:46:00.001-06:002010-12-20T20:53:38.449-06:00GPS for truck drivers.I have mentioned to quite a few people that those of us with husbands that are truck drivers that they might consider a GPS unit specifically made for truckers. This is the one we got for my husband and he loves it! (despite the poor reviews on amazon, which I don't understand, lol).
