Kroger triples, CVS and Publix

I am pretty excited about my deals today. :)

I was towing around a poor sick baby so I finally gave up and called it a day even though I wanted to go back to the Belle Meade Kroger one more time (they were very well-stocked, the other store ...not so much).

Kroger (trip one)
Did two transactions here, to make sure I made full value of my ecoupons and mega event. I did just realize, however that two of my coupons did not ring up properly- it was the ones that were $.50/2 or whatever. It only doubled to the price of one. Grr. That amounted to around $3 total. Dangit. I'll be sure to pay better attention next time for that issue. I'm sorry, I can't list out every coupon for this- it's way too complicated and I'll be here all day. But hey, You GET PICTURES!! :)

Then to CVS. I promised my grandmother I'd pick up her Converter box for her tv (raincheck) Who knew that the "coupon" was actually a gift card? Once I bought all my items, and used my ecb's, my math was off, and the total was under $39. The card was for $40. So it covered everything including the tax. Sweet!

After Z's doctor's appointment (viral, no big deal) we went to the Brentwood Kroger. Wow. They really were cleaned out. 2. I'd say yesterday was a goooood day for you!! :o)

i'm trying to muster up the coupons/strength to hit it one more day! i'd consider skipping because our pantry just can't hold much more, BUT i want more free milk!! since the jelly has a cat for oyno, its still free even though it's not on sale! i've been waiting until the last day so the milk would last longer....I've been giving away milk and cereal like crazy! and we may not have to buy cereal or snacks or any baked goods for a few months! hehe!

  3. Thanks Dr Mom! I will admit that putting together the Kroger deals was a real headache.

Stacey- seriously, if you go back out, take the extra time to go to the Belle Meade store. I LOVE that store. It was a wonderful shopping experience and they were very well stocked on everything. Oh, and I didn't know that about the jelly! I am kicking myself b/c I had two more coupons but didn't use them since it wasn't "free" and I have tons of it already. Rats! A suggestion on the milk- if you don't have freezer room (you can freeze milk) Buy the organic cartons (Organic Valley). you may spend a few cents, (I actually found Organic Valley on clearance at the Nippers Corners store so it was free too) but it's organic, and it lasts longer and doesn't have to be refrigerated until it's opened.
I wish I lived down there b/c I have a bunch more coupons I wanted to use!! Boo! I would totally make at least two more trips. :D

  4. Great shopping trip! Oh, how jealous I am that your Kroger is tripling!! Ours in Atl, never do! So, I must continue my love affair with Publix. :)

  5. Bethany- I know! I was shocked too! In my history of paying attention to coupons...I've never seen Kroger triple until a few months ago when they did it to compete with Harris Teeter (and it's only 5 stores). Since they started, they've done it 3 times I think. I am hoping both HT and Kroger continue! (I have given up on HT's triples).

  6. Yay, pictures!

Great job on the deals. So jealous about the triples. Our Krogers stink. Most of them won't even double the printables that say "Do Not Double". Bunch of dummies. I keep saying I'm going to email coupons.com and ask them what they're big fat problem is. It's no skin off their nose if a store doubles; they don't decide that.

Hope the baby feels better soon.

  7. Erin- a FLip is a "Food Lion internet printable" Food Lion releases internet coupons every week on their website and to people who subscribe to their weekly ad email. (You can also get these from websites like southernsavers and iheartpublix). The Publix stores who consider Food Lion a compeitor will accept these as competitor coupons. They're nice because they can be stacked with mq's and often coincide with sales or other available mq's out.

    HTH!

Mel- lol. I know, I keep wondering why they put that on there too. They aren't the ones who choose to double- that's the store's deal.

Thanks for the get better wishes. I don't know if it's viral or some random fever thing. Maybe teething? He seems ok. A little cranky, but otherwise alright.
