Rite Aid

Rite Aid is different from Walgreens or CVS in that they use a Mail-In-Rebate system, Called Single Check Rebates, or SCRs- so often, you'll pay oop up front to get started, then you'll start getting the checks. :) Real checks that you can take to the bank. I got one for over $150 this month!

This is the time to get started. They just started their Gift Of Savings program, and it's good through the next month+. Basically, when you spend $100, you get a $20 gift certificate you can use in the store. This money is PRE-coupon, PRE-Rebate! So that means, you can get a bunch of free after rebate stuff, moneymakers even, and it counts!

For example:
From today through Wednesday, do this:

Buy:
1 Benevia $7.99 (weekly deal)
1 Colon Cleanse $17.99 (only good through Wednesday!)
Total: $25.98

Use:
$5/25 from HERE
$5 Benevia ip HERE (must register)

=$15.98 oop

But, you'll receive back $25.98 in rebates for those two items, making $10. AND you'll earn $25.98 toward your Gift of Savings. So "spend" another $74.02 and get back an additional $20 gift certificate.

There are other denominations as well:
Spend $25-50, get a $5 certificate
Spend $51-100, get a $10 certificate
Spend over $100, get a $20 certificate.

It's VERY easy to get the $100, buying moneymakers and freebies like above- so they're giving you an additional $20 to spend in their store.

Beginning Thursday, there are some great deals! Check it out...

  1. My Rite-Aid is so unfriendly with coupons! I dread shopping there, but I plan to go Friday anyway. I actually called the district manager last week when I had coupon troubles. He sent me a $20 gift card, apologized and promised it would be better. He even gave me his cell # if I need to call him. He was great!....the cashiers are horrible. Here's hoping they are better by Friday! :-) Thanks for posting the deals!

  3. LOVE the Rite Aid posts! I'm wanting to get started but am nervous about making sure I enter all the scr's on time, etc... Any chance you could offer some tips on making sure you get the rebates turned in correctly each month? Is the Gift of Savings entered differently??
Thanks so much for all your help!!!

  4. Anon- What I do is this- as soon as I get home, I jump on the computer and enter my receipts. I write in the top corner of the receipt the date and the initials of the account I entered it in (since I also do them for my grandparents). Then I stick them in an envelope on my desk. I hang onto them until I RECEIVE the scr in the mail. That way if there's a discrepancy, I have the proof.

GIft of Savings is automatic. Once you sign up for the regular scr program and start entering receipts, it automatically records the totals spent for GOS. (there's a different screen to view the totals on Rite Aids website).

Once the month ends, I go and request my check. You can only request one per month, so don't make the mistake of entering a few receipts then requesting a check b/c then you can't do any more for that period.

It's not really that complicated, it is just a little more involved than ecbs and rr's. ;)

    HTH!!!

    And...Welcome! :)

  6. Yes you're right- I had at the beginning of the transaction- "from today through Wednesday do this" , but I didn't state it specifically that it was only good that day! Sorry!
