Kroger triples deals 11/04

I went down to Nashville with both kids in tow and used all kinds of bribery (and a few threats) to keep my four-year old from meandering off. (She did this the last time she accompanied me to Publix, and we had to search for her, call her name over the intercom...it was scary). Anyway, she was pretty good, since we were there for 2 hours (not only was it triples, but also senior day, so it was PACKED!!!), she certainly wasn't at a loss for attention from all the little old ladies and grandpas. :)

Anyway, I was thrilled to get all the things I wanted. Nothing was out of stock (yet) and I picked up a few other things as well. I didn't get to Publix so I plan on going back Monday and get some more triples items while I'm down there. :) (the non-mega things)

I had miscalculated tax (I'm not feeling well, so my brain is a little fuzzy) so I went under on three of four orders and had to add random things from the checkout- gum and a magazine). The fourth order I had picked up some batteries which were on the cardboard display marked $2.00. They rang up $5.99. I went ahead and paid for the transaction and took it to CS, and had a fun convo with the guy working. He told me, oh, I don't think those are included. I said, well, if they're not, I'm not sure why they're on the display. That's the only price on the entire display. (In my head I was thinking, I certainly can't GUESS how much they are). Anyway, so he reimbursed me the difference of $3.99+tax. Technically, they're supposed to give it to you free if it rings up wrong, but he seemed to be in a bad mood and I was ready to go, so no biggie.

  1. Which Nashville Kroger's participate in the triples?

(I don't know if you posted this somewhere else, but I couldn't find it).

I've missed the this in the past, but I may have to drag myself across town this time.

  2. How do you get the AJC coupons? I didn't think we could get the Atlanta paper up here?

  3. You are simply amazing. That's all I got to say :)

  4. Brandy, surprised we didn't run into each other yesterday although it looks as though you got to Kroger earlier than I did. I arrived about 12:00pm and they were out of the parchment paper (which was my reason for going) so I shopped at both of the Kroger's yesterday (hit the one on Edmondson too). I couldn't believe how crowded the stores were with all of the senior citizens. I'll definitely go earlier next time.

Thanks for the heads up on the Keebler deal. There is also a .75/1 Beech Nut cookie coupon that makes the cookies FREE (plus there is a B1G1 peelie on the cookies which makes the second box free).

Glad you got a good catch! Hope to see you soon.

  5. One more deal:

Buy 10 Bumble Bee Tuna for .99 cents each
    - use 10 $.50/1 printable Q's (from a month ago)
    = FREE + $5.00 overage

Just happened to have those printables with me yesterday and did a big woo-hoo when I saw the deal. I'd been holding on to them for awhile since they have been "out of stock" at Publix lately. Sometimes "out of stock" is a blessing.

  6. I'm in the mood for commenting (can you tell). Jason and I wanted to send out a shout of thanks for the triple coupon list. It was very helpful. We appreciate your time in putting together the list.

We were eating lunch at Five Guys yesterday and I told him that ipreferpublix was your blog and he exclaimed, "I didn't know that was Brandy's blog; I've been looking at it for a week now and didn't even notice that." Looks like he found his way to your blog independent of me telling him about it. Awesome.

  7. Okay, one more deal.

There are some coupons at Publix at Maryland Farms (in the back of the store on a disply). They are in a small foldable pamphlet. There are 4 coupons inside (pepperidge farm bread, pepperidge farm cookies, swanson broth or campbells condensed soups, puff pastry). The pepperidge farm bread Q is for $.55 cents and the breads are $2.00 each at Kroger right now (the Farmhouse Sourdough, Hearty White, Buttermilk, and Hearty Grain). They end up being $.35 cents each after Q. A great deal for Pepperidge Farm bread.

I am in LOVE with their sourdough.

  11. Lucky duckys. FL was rumored to have another triples before now, but hasn't happened.

    Good shopping trip!
I have one more Mega shop to do. Maybe tomorrow. I've been trying to slow down again. Feeling the burnout.

Hope you are feeling better today!

  12. Lindsey, it's usually the ones near a Harris Teeter- Franklin, Nipper's Corners, Brentwood, Belle Meade and...erm...another one. I always go to Belle Meade store. I really like that store.

Colleen- I have a few friends in Atlanta that buy extra papers and mail me the inserts. It's cost prohibitive to do it every week, but when I see something I think I might want, I ask one of them to buy a few for me. :)

Kelly- I went to the Belle Meade store- I got there around 10am. My whole reason for getting there early was Parchment Paper. LOL. I got there and went directly to that aisle. I got 8 boxes and there were still about 10 left- but when I browsed past there an hour later they were all gone. *whew*
I *just* saw that cookie printable- thanks! I added it to my stack to take with me on Monday if I get back down there.

ugh- I have the flu, alternately freezing and sweating all night, I have eaten ONE cracker today. That's it. And a litle sprite and water. I HATE being sick!!!

  13. Brandy,

Thanks for all your hard work! Just got back from my first shopping trip to Kroger (ever) and it went pretty well! I'm definitely not the all star that you are, but I spent 17.74 and saved 54.97 (78%)! Not too shabby in my book. Hope you get to feeling better..we need you out there scouting for us!! :)

  14. Thanks for posting your triples list! I think I'm going to go to the Edmonson Pk store or the Brentwood store tomorrow. I feel kind of odd driving all the way out there since there's a Kroger 1/2 mile from my house here.

    Hope you're feeling better soon!

  15. I must've just missed you at Belle Mead too! I left right before 10! I kept getting stuck in the aisles with seniors! :o) I also couldn't believe how many couponers got in on it so fast this time around! I usually never see anyone else the first day of triples, but we were all prepared this time!!

I bought 4 parchment papers and wish i bought more since i haven't found it since! :o)

  17. Hope you feel better Brandy. I haven't been able to get to Kroger because my daughter had strep. Now I think my son and baby may have it. I'm going to have to entrust my triple list to my husband. I wish I were as organized as you. I know I'll get there, but my system may not work in my husbands hands. Oh well, babies before triples. Maybe I will see you on Monday.
