Kellogg's recall

There are a lot of deals lately on Kelloggs, so I wanted to post this from the Kelloggs website. There is a recall on Corn pops, Apple Jacks, Froot Loops and Honey Smacks.

What products are included in the recall? What code dates I should look for?
We are recalling the following cereal products packaged in white foil bags due to an off-flavor and smell coming from the bag.

Only products with the letters "KN" following the Better If Used Before Date are included in the recall.

What should I do if I have product that is affected by this recall?
If you have questions or you would like a replacement coupon, you may contact the Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163.

You should not eat the recalled products because they do not meet our quality standards.

Were the recalled products distributed nationwide? Where were these packages sold?
The products involved in the recall were shipped throughout the U.S.

All retailers that received these products are being notified.

Are the products involved in the recall safe for consumption?
Consumers should not eat the recalled products because they do not meet our quality standards. A few consumers have experienced temporary symptoms, including nausea and diarrhea. Consumers with concerns should consult their health care provider.

Why are these products being recalled?
We have identified a substance in the package liners that can produce an uncharacteristic waxy-like off taste and smell.

  1. Thanks for posting. I normally don't buy sweetened cereal, but my husband had purchased some. Sure enough the corn pops were on recall. I had no clue, but I did call.
