** basically I traded my rr's. We call this rolling. I paid under $.50 tax for the items and got a new $2rr to replace the one I spent.

I bought almost all soft toothbrushes, but one was "medium". This one rang up wrong and caused the transaction not to generate a rr. We voided the transaction and re-rang it using the soft toothbrush. I do not know why it didn't work, but heads-up that the medium toothbrushes may not be working properly for the rr deal (not to mention ringing up wrong).

  1. You are on the ball this morning! Oh, wait, it's bedtime now. This awful weather has had me in the bed with a book most of the day.

You did great on all those diaper deals. I sell them for $5 on Craigslist and they go real fast. Made $80 after the big Walgreens deal awhile back.

  3. Mel- I wish I could've been in bed with a book- what a great idea! Unfortunately the kids do not allow those sorts of frivolities. LOL. I wish I had more addresses or I'd buy more!

    Anon- Hi and WELCOME! :)
mq stands for Manufacturer's coupon. This is a coupon issued by the manufacturer for their product- these are the newspaper inserts and most printable coupons. (also tearpads and other coupons you find in stores, usually manufacturer's coupons). These are coupons put out by the manufacturer to encourage customers to buy their product. Retailers are reimbursed for these coupons, face value plus $.08 for handling. Manufacturer's coupons will state "Manufacturer coupon" on them and will have a scannable barcode beginning either with a 5 or 9.
RAq is a Rite Aid coupon. These are coupons issued by Rite Aid and can be found in their weekly flyers and now online at the Video Values program. These coupons begin with a RA or RC and can only be used at Rite Aid (or stores which consider them a competitor). Rite Aid's corporate policy states that you can use one manufacturer coupon and one Rite Aid coupon per item.

The way these and other store coupons work is as follows: The manufacturer makes a deal with the store to offer a coupon in their flyer/online, etc. In return, they are reimbursed a portion of the sales. It won't be full face value, like a manufacturer coupon, but it will be a gain to the retailer.

I realize this was a lot of info for a simple question, but I hope it helped!
