  1. At that rate you'll be shopping on card for 7 years, lol.

  3. So, I'm still amazed at how well you do! Question- do they totally balk at you having 20 of the same flip or target q? Or is it just no big deal? Most of my competitor coupons get pretty well scrutinized and I can't see other stores letting me do that! I know MF supposedly is the best for dealing with coupons. I hate that its out of my way and shopped so much by others! I don't know that I would use 20 of a q, but I'd love using more than 1!!!

  4. Awesome shop!!! I agree with Melissa, you are really going to stretch those gift cards out! :)

  5. Stacey- No, they don't even blink. I have had a long talk with the Store Manager and I explained to him that at my Food Lion (about two minutes from my house) I can do multiple transactions and I go every day when there's a good deal. On a GREAT week, I can easily use 30 or 40 FLips for one item over the course of the week. Since I drive an hour to get to MF store, they would rather me shop there, so they will let me do them all at once. And now that I do it, I think they would not even blink an eye when anyone else does it. There are one or two cashiers who don't like to give overage, but I avoid them and all goes smoothly. All the managers and CS staff are so easy- they'll approve pretty much anything.

It's a great store. And it saves me from shopping at Food Lion. I would much rather shop at Publix. :)

  6. The only store that has ever given me trouble about only using one in a transaction is the Goodlettesville store and I don't shop there anymore. They've totally lost me as a customer, and it's a LOT closer to my house. Too bad for them.

  7. Oh and even when it's a moneymaker like the Planters, I would never clean out any one thing. If they had been low in stock on the trail mix, I would have only gotten 5 or 6 bags. Especially since it's a FLip that can be printed as many times as we want.

  8. Great trip!! I think you will have that card for a while!

  9. Most FLIPS though state "Limit one ... per transaction, per person, per day," which I translate into 1 per visit at Publix.

There have been times (including the Planters deal this week) that I would like to have used more per visit...

  10. Drenn- you're correct. It's YMMV as to what your Publix will allow.

  11. any tips on where to find the -$1/1 Tide stain release q?

  12. Tutti- It's actually the $1/1 Tide from the P&G 8/30 (I think). It says "any Tide" on it.

  13. I had $.75/1 Stain release & $1/1 any Tide in my 8/30 P&G. There is also $1.50/1 Stain Release Target Q in the 8/23 RP. So, when you stack $2/1 PQ + $1.50 Target Q + $.75/1 MQ = -$.25 overage!

  14. Jennifer- several stores in Nashville will allow stacking three coupons, but Corporate has contacted some of the bloggers, like Michelle at iheartpublix.com and requested they remind us that their policy allows stacking a maximum of two coupons per item. One mq and one store coupon (either Publix or competitor). This is a gray area, since our stores do allow it, but I don't feel comfortable stacking three since they have requested we not.

    :)

  15. Brandy, have you met Jim (the new customer service manager at Maryland Farms). We have had several "unpleasant" run-ins with him over the last few weeks. He has not been coupon friendly and he questioned Jason's FLIPS today for the Planters (told him he could only use 1 per transaction; Jason told him to go ahead and take off the other items and he allowed them this time as the line was long behind Jason).

Just an FYI....keep an eye out for him. Older male in his early 50's. I emailed Publix corporate to explain how my transactions have been going lately with him at the helm of the customer service desk. They have not been pleasant experiences.

Let me know if you've had any problems with him.

  16. Kel, yes, my first run-in with Jim was when he first got transferred. I was in line with T-Leigh and he questioned my FLip for the Starbucks (T-Leigh acted like he was not very coupon-friendly). I said, why don't you ask Sharon- she will approve it. He called her and she did approve it.
Since then, I have been sweet as honey when I see him and so far so good. He transferred from BelleVue store.
I had a long talk with Eric today and I was going to say something about it, but I haven't had any problems lately, so I didn't. If he gives you trouble again, you should just say, "Can we call Eric down and see what he says?". Because Eric will approve the q's. ALWAYS. He actually started checking me out today and I had 15 of the Planters FLips and he didn't say anything (aand since he's the store manager, what he says goes, you know?).

Doug loves sardines and I needed filler items. :) I was being a good wife. :D

  17. That's good to know about the 3 coupons. I wasn't really sure what to do with them, but I have been to a few stores (in the past) that never even glanced at them. I'm secretly hoping for a BOGO sale on the Tide Release since it's a new product. One of the grocery managers could have been the spokesperson for it, as he bragged on it for about 5 minutes! :)
