Nashville shoppers!

My grandparents subscribe to the Tennessean and when I went today, my Grandmother was excited to show me the H.G. Hills advertisement that came in Monday's (sept 28th) paper! There was a 2/3 page of coupons! Great match-ups for the sale next week at Publix. If you can get your hands on any of these flyers/ads, look for the second page!!

It's also possible that the ads you get in stores have these too, but I haven't set foot in an H.G. Hills in about 15 years, so I have no clue, but can't hurt to look!! :)

  1. Usually the advertisement is the same at the store. I will stop by there this afternoon and check. The coupons are really great. You can see the advertisement at their website. Here is a link to the exact page:

  2. No H.G. Hills here.

But I think I'm going to email everyone in my family, extended family, and anyone else on my email list that's local and try to get them to help me get coupons, from their papers and while they're out at the stores.

I doubt they will bother, but can't hurt to try, right.

  3. Dr Mom- let me know if it is the same and I'll send my grandmother for some. :) That is the only place my grandfather will shop, so they are there a few times a week.

Melissa- I do the same. Some people remember, some forget, but ever little one helps!

  4. I saw an HG Hills Ad on the back of one of the sections....but separate flyer and no coupons in my paper! :o(

  5. Stacey- rats! I wonder if it's because my grandparents live so close to one? They always get HG Hills inserts and my Mom doesn't. She lives about ten minutes away. Inserts are so weird. I wish I could get my hands on some more, that's for sure! I am running short on Kraft shredded cheese (and by short, I mean, I have four bags). :D

  6. Dr Mom, I wonder if you can print those coupons? I might try it.

  7. I looked in my local grocery store - the IGA - sale ad today, and we got those same coupons.
It's a traditional grocery store, but I don't know if there's another IGA that's a Publix competitor. Guess I'll have to ask. There are some good coupons, though.

  8. Brandy, my neighbor drops off several copies of the Franklin Review Appeal and the coupons were in the ad in that paper today.

  9. Haha! I consider 4 bags of cheese low too! In fact, I think I only have 3 1/2! I may need to find these q's!!

While I was at Nipper's Corner today, I overheard CS telling a cashier that there is a new policy to only accept one of the store coupons that say "Limit one per purchase" or something similiar- the ones from a recent insert and the Better at Home Flyer for $1 off Pillsbury wyb Progresso were the ones I was using, and I used 2 in one order. I've always used more than one of these types of store q's!

They didn't say anything when I used them, but looked like the CS was telling the cashier not to allow it again. This makes me sad! I really may have to travel to MF every time I want to shop! (they haven't changed policy too have they??)

I don't think this CS really likes me anyways. She's never really rude, but seems like I'm bothering her if I ask a question and always seems to have something to say about my coupons AFTER I've used them!

  10. One more question for you! I keep seeing the Green Giant veggies going on sale and lots of blogs saying they are free.....but it's the boxes on sale for $1, not the Steamers. Aren't there just $.50/2 q's for the boxes? Or am I missing something! I know last year I got tons of the steamers for free, but haven't seen those on sale yet to get free with the $.50/1 q's!

My freezer is decently stocked with Birds Eye and the GG boxes from Kroger and HT triples, but I can never have enough if it's actually free!!

  11. Kel- sweet- I never can get my hands on that paper- but good to know they're floating around out there.

Stacey- the Steamers were included in last week's Birdseye 50% off sale, making them $.90/ea (for most...broccoli was more expensive). Sorry you missed it!!

Nipper's Corners and Spring Hill have just changed their policy to strictly follow the wording on store and competitor q's. Maryland Farms is still conducting business as usual, allowing multiples of competitor q's and store q's. :) I love my MF store.

  12. Oh oops! LOL!!! You were talking about the Green Giant steamers, not Birdseye. Hello. No, I haven't found a good deal on those yet but I am hanging onto the coupons and waiting! Hopefully we'll see something soon.

  13. I noticed after looking again, these are actualy Manufacturer coupons. So they should be able to take them as usual...they can't be stacked, but they seem to be some fairly high value coupons. Like the $1.00 off Capri Sun...the only other q's I have for those are like $1.00/3. I'm thinking I need to buy those for my Nabisco rebate.

  14. I was looking at that too. They look like scannable coupons, but it says at the top "in-ad coupon". They should scan like a mq, but I don't know if they would be considered store (in that Publix would not be reimbursed) or mq (in that they wuold be reimbursed). I hate q's like this. They're so ambiguous.
