More more moneymakers (As always with Rite Aid, YMMV as to how coupon friendly your store is)
Ester-C and Nature's Bounty are bogo this week.
Both have video Value coupons available, $1/1
There is a $5/1 Ester-C coupon (regional) and of course, the Nature's Bounty ip's available in $2/1, $3/1 and $5/1 values.
So... snag a few of those and use a $5/20 and then get the things you need, like milk, bread, diapers, etc.
It is also worth it to note that there will be a new SCR beginning with the Feb SCR's (starting tomorrow for some reason?) That if you buy $50 of certain products, you get a $25 Rite Aid gift card, and if you buy $25, you get a $5 (or maybe it's ten?) gift card (sorry for the lack of details, I haven't seen the SCR book, I'm going by what I've seen posted elsewhere. I'll post the deets tomorrow when I have it in hand)
At any rate, one of the products is Nature's Bounty! So...if you buy $50 in NB products, you get a $25 gift card. sweet. Talk about a moneymaker.
Scenario~
Nature's Bounty 4.99
Nature's Bounty 0.00
Nature's Bounty 4.99
Nature's Bounty 0.00
EsterC 8.49
EsterC 0.00
$6.53 of stuff you need...
:Total $25
Use
$5/20 RA VV q
2x Nature's Bounty $3/1 mq ip
2x Nature's Bounty $1/1 RA VV q
2x EsterC $5/1 mq ip
2x EsterC $1/1 RAVVq
Total: -$25
Total oop: 0.00
earn $9.98 toward RA gift card, SCR#550
You can repeat this transaction, or adjust as needed, adding NB vitamins, or pricier vitamins, or the $5/1 NB coupon to build up a $50 spending in NB vitamins and earn the $25 Rite Aid gift card!!
Then...if you buy things you need that happen to be P&G products, you can also build up enough for the P&G Visa Card, SCR#551 (Spend $25, get a $5 Visa card; Spend $50, get a $15 gift card; Spend $100, get a $25 gift card)

If you don't need anything, and want to use the overage on something to make money, use your overage towards buying Olay Quench Body Lotion (online price $9.99).
ReplyDeleteUse $2/1 coupon from 1/17 P&G
There is a Free after MIR on these (they have to be bought by Friday Jan. 29th). Limit (2) rebates per address.
So 9.99 - 2.00 coupon = $7.99 - 6.53 overage = you pay $1.46 + tax.
Get $9.99 back from MIR.
$9.99 goes towards your P&G Visa card.
This seems all too good to be true. Help me out here please. If Natures Bounty Vitamins are BOGO this week, and if I pick up 10 @ $4.99 each my total will be 24.95. Right? And then I can use 10 $5/1 NB Vitamins AND my $5/20 which puts me at a MM of $30.05?? That cant possibly be right.
ReplyDeleteAnd since I cant have an overage at the cash register I would need to pick up $30 worth of stuff just to break even??
I must be doing something wrong.
With that much overage I could do the Olay Quench MIR x's 2 and still have to spend $10.07??
My goodness. And I havent even started on my Ester-C scenario yet.
Does this seem correct or just wishful couponing?
Thanks!

ReplyDeletedon't forget the Nature's Bounty Video Values coupon!! That's another $1 for each bottle you buy!
ReplyDeleteAnon- nope. You're exactly right!! I have been breaking mine up though, for three reasons- one, you can use more $5/20's with more transactions *so more savings!), two, my stores don't seem to stock a lot of the NB vitamins, so I have to get a few at a time and wait for them to restock (My store has $4.99 ones and $5.49 ones as the cheapest) and three, it calls less attention. Sometimes stores (even the good ones) freak out when you have that many q's, especially the VV ones, so I've been dropping in every other day or so and doing something like this the above. Tonight I did this:
ReplyDeleteNature's Bounty 5.49
Nature's Bounty 0.00
EsterC 11.49
EsterC 0.00
Always 2.64 (clearance) <--I needed a few dollars more for my $35 P&G card- I've been buying $8.49 Charmin and the Olay last week...
Foster's 6pk (for hub) $5.49
Used
$5/20
$3/1 NB ip x2 (saving the higher ones for higher value vitamins)
$1/1 NB VV x2
$5/1 EsterC x2
$1/1 EsterC VV x2
Paid around $2 oop including tax, and finished out my P&G $$ for that card, and am working on the NB for the $25 Rite Aid card! (oh, and my DH got beer, which keeps him happy :) )
I am going to be buying more NB, maybe more expensive ones, this week and next, to finish that out, since they're bogo through next week!
WOOHOO!!!
Sometimes it is good, but also TRUE!
Thank you so much for clarifying this for me.
ReplyDeleteMy RA is in another town so I can only make one more trip this week. I hear what youre saying about using too many Q's at once though. Maybe Ill just spend the day in town and pop into RA every hour or so. :P
I'll come back and let you know how it went.....or didnt. We'll see!
Thanks again. :)
oh that stinks- it's like me and CVS. Well, I usually do two transactions, sometimes three- so you could do one transaction, see if they're cool then do another if so. :) Then kind of play it by ear. They're bogo next week too! (The Ester C is not though, so you want to do that deal this week for sure!)
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome!
Well, I didnt do as well as I wanted to only because they were out of Ester-C and any NB under $5.
ReplyDeleteI did manage to grab 2 Cascades, 2 NB B-12, 2 Halls Lozenges, 2 bags of Valentine M&M's, 2 Olay Quench, 2 Lubriderms, and 1 Maybelline Mascara. Did 2 transactions and each one was $0.00!
Cant complain. :D
