Only this one is for the Accu-check Aviva. I've never seen a deal on these, and my store only has 1 on the shelf, so I asked the SM to order me some today. There's two options here. Check it out...
week of 1.17.10
Accu-check Aviva $9.99
Use
$10/1 Accu-check mq 11.8.09 SS
$5/1 Accu-check Walgreens coupon from Diabetes and You booklet
=$5 overage to put toward something else... perhaps some pepsi products?
OR
week of 1.31.10 (and you can ONLY do this on 1.31 b/c the Walgreens q's expire that day!)
Accu-check Aviva $14.99
Use
$10/1 Accu-check mq 11.8.09 SS
$5/1 Accu-check Walgreens coupon from Diabetes and You booklet
=$Free
Earn $5rr
So your options, get overage now to use toward other product, or get the item free and then get rr's back for future purchases. Your choice.

Will you get any RR with either deal? Or is it just a free item?
ReplyDeleteThe deal next week gives you $5 overage and the deal for the 31st is for a free item with a $5rr back. So you choose if you would rather have the overage or the rr.
ReplyDeleteI plan to use some to get free Pepsi/Frito Lay, and then save the rest to get $5 RR later, I think.
ReplyDeletewhat is the date of the manufacturer coupon?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the date and insert of the $10/1 man coupon? I'm assuming the 11/8/10 date is the expiration date?
ReplyDeletethanks!
sorry it was in the 11/8/09 paper. :)
ReplyDeleteDenied! I had a cartful of stuff including 3 meters and when the clerk got to the last q, the wags monitor q, she said the register wouldn't take it because it would cause overage. I asked if we could try it, she did, it worked, but she said she had to talk to the mgr. Of course, he said no. I had her void the monitors and bought the rest of my groceries. I think I'll save my q's for the 31st and (hopefully!) avoid the confrontation. Anybody successful in getting the overage with this deal this week?
ReplyDeleteJen- sorry!! That stinks. I did get overage today. Overage is always a big YMMV at Wags. Technically it's within their policy, since they allow a wags q and a mq on an item, and they get reimbursement in full for both, but they tend to get squicky about overage. Hang onto them and do the rr deal, then there's no overage involved and you should be good to go.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know, I was inspired by your success with the meter overage and decided to try again at a different store. It worked! I used 1 monitor coupon this time so as not to spook the cashier. Used 1 with the Tostitos deal to get 8 chips/salsa for $1 total after RR. I was so excited that I stopped by another store and used another monitor coupon to get free peanuts and cheese. Love getting free groceries that I would buy anyway! Thanks for your help!
