Great blinkie found!

I found a super blinkie at Food Lion last week- it's a $.50/1 any Ronzoni pasta coupon. !!! (It does say "not subject to doubling" but it begins with a 5, so unless your cashier/store suppresses the double, it will automatically double)

This should get you free pasta at Kroger this week and overage at Publix in the future on a Ronzoni bogo sale. :)

Kraft Cheese at Food Lion...nearly free

I am thinking I may stock up on MORE cheese at Food Lion this week! Luckily, I just discovered that it freezes nicely- just toss the entire bag of shredded cheese in the freezer and thaw when needed.

There's a new Kraft shredded cheese BOGO blinkie showing up in Food Lion stores (snagged some today) and it pairs really well with the current Kraft event. ($5 off instantly wyb 5)
This event has a limit of one per transaction, which stinks, but separate your transactions out and here are a few possibilities:

Even if the coupon asks for an actual value to be entered, the cashier will usually enter $1.49 since that is the value of the item before mega).

So it might look like this (YMMV)

If the register takes off $1.49 for the sale price of the cheese, then your oop would be $1.96 for all 8. (If you are able to also use a X/XX with the bogo, then you could get this deal to go even lower, but I think the register will beep, the cashier would have to push it through.

Food Lion pet deals

There are a few deals on pet items at Food Lion right now with the $2/5 FLip.

A few items to note regarding Food Lion.
1. When you use FLips like a $2/5, your $5 qualifying is $5 BEFORE you scan your MVP card, so if there's a sale on an item, the regular sale price is the value that counts for the $5.
2. BOGO coupons are recognized by the register and automatically tell the cashier to enter the regular retail price. So if an item is on sale and you have a BOGO coupon, the regular retail price will be the "free" value, giving you more than free on one item.

Here's a great deal on Special K at Food Lion this week.

ETA (1/1/10) No more prints available for the bogo coupon, so I hope you got yours yesterday!

Special K cereals are 2/$5, and when you buy 5, you instantly get $5 off at checkout. There are some good printables out for this deal, and I know I've seen a lot of peelies on the cereals at the store, plus there's a $1/1 printable at coupons.com for the Blueberry variety. Plus, in the past, when I've used a bogo coupon at Food Lion, the register automatically enters the RETAIL price, not the sale price, as the amount it takes off. I don't know if it will work that way with this coupon (I'll let you guys know) but here's what I'll be doing:

Oh we LOVE these!!

I just did this and once I sent my msg, I got a response requesting my MVP#. I do not have unlimited text, but pay per use. I figure $.30 ($.10x3 texts) is a decent price for a bag of coffee or Morsels. :)

If these turn ot to be Store coupons, you can stack them with mq's for overage, and if your Publix accepts Food Lion q's you could use them there. If they are mq's, then you can use them anywhere!

As if you haven't gotten enough free razors lately, here's another deal for you:

A while back KMart had a booklet called $62 in savings or some-such. Most of the q's expired 10/3, but a few are still good. There was one for $1/1 any Noxzema product that expires 10/18.

Food Lion has Noxzema disposable razors for $1 (I found these at the checkout with the impulse-buy items).

The couponing dilemma

Most of the time, I think I have this coupon thing mostly figured out. Ha. Mistakes are still made. Lots of them.

The biggest dilemma that comes with couponing is the "when do I use the great coupon" question. Like those $1 Pillsbury coupons. I could have used them on the first Publix sale, but I decided to wait and risk not being able to get that good deal in hopes of a better deal, and now they'll be a mm with the soup at Publix. Now is when you use them (If I had them, but that's another story *sigh*)

So, Snuggle.

Snuggle high value coupons are out- $3/1 Snuggle. Selling ridiculously high on EBay and worth me making a few extra trips to the recycle bin and possibly incurring the wrath of the Recycle-nazi at the one here in town to try to find some more of these.

Snuggle is on sale 2/$6 at Food Lion, makes these FREE right now (through Tuesday). So, if I find it in stock (hoping for a raincheck), do I buy? Or do I hang onto them, hoping for a sale at Publix, possibly making them a mm? (and where I can also possibly cover tax with overage).

hmmmm.... decisions.

I decided to take Mel's advice (Thanks!) and do a search on HCW to see what kind of deals have been on for Snuggle. In the past year, the cheapest it has been at Publix is $2.99. It has also been 2/$6 a few times. So I went ahead and used the coupons I had at Food Lion. I paid $2.00 for (tax) seven bottles.
