Coupon "doublin...Jennifer, you're correct. Coupon "doubling", "tripling" and "super doubling", etc, are offers made by the retailer to bring you in their doors. The manufacturer only reimburses the face value of the coupon. <br /><br />Retailers consider doubling and other offers like this worthwhile because even though they lose money on the doubling, once you're in the store, they hope you will buy all those other things you need and not just the items you have coupons for. Those of us knowledgeable in the way of extreme couponing know better. Never buy things without coupons at stores just because you're there!
